Foster parenting to me is another form of special needs parenting. I have felt called for years to become a foster mother and while I know it will be incredibly difficult I know it will be incredibly fulfilling. Many have told us we are crazy, have told us we have "too much on our plates" but we are ignoring the naysayers and taking the leap of faith and listening to our hearts.  Raising a child with disabilities has taught me to be brave. You can be brave too in whatever dreams you have for your family.
