1. The purpose of the law. (Gal. 3:19-29)
- To reveal God’s will for us.
- To teach us how to relate to God and man.
- To reveal sin in our lives.
- To bring us to Christ.

2. The problem with man.
- We are all “lawbreakers”.
(Gal. 3:22; Rom 3:23)
- We are all condemned to death.
(Rom. 5:12-12; 7:7-12)
- We cannot fix our problem.

3. The provision of God.
- God sent His son to fulfill the law.
(Gal 4:4)
- Jesus redeems from the law’s penalty.
(Gal 4:5; Rom 5:8)
- By faith we are saved by Christ.
(Eph. 2:8-9)
- God has transformed us so that we may know him personally.
(Jer. 31:33-34)
- He has given us one new commandment.
(John 13:34)
