Foundational Sociology written by Sikha Nayak. It was a very different experience for me as for the first time, it was not a storybook nor any self-help motivation book like Robin Sharma, this book was more of a learning type of book that revolves around the subject 'Sociology'. It will surely broader your perspective about this subject as a whole.
Anyone can read this book & should read this book to clear almost each and every concept that comes under the banner of Sociology.
As I said your perspectives will be broader after reading the whole book. The author writes in 'Functionalist Perspective', "Functionalists suggest that prostitution satisfies the needs of patrons that may not be readily met through more socially acceptable forms such as courtship or marriage. The "Buyer" receives sex without any responsibility for procreation or sentimental attachment; at the same time, the "seller" gains a livelihood through this exchange."
