In this somewhat idealized vision of the early church, we see what the Holy Spirit can do when the church is trying to build something together. In the midst of confusion, rather than sowing dissent, it builds a unity of purpose that helps us to understand our conflicts and work through them. It inspires us to sacrifice for one another. And it reminds us that, even when things are not what we expected, we are not alone.
