MERIT CRO is a company founded in 2012 by three experienced American scientists and business executives: Dr. Chris Murphy, Dr. Yijun Huang, and Dr. Ron Danis. The company initially provided imaging services for global ophthalmology trials and was called EyeKor. The three co-founders bring unique skillsets and experiences in entrepreneurship, clinical trials, and advanced technology. Dr. Murphy is a serial entrepreneur and renowned research scientist who co-founded several other biotech companies. Dr. Huang has over a decade of managerial experience in the medical device industry and holds a PhD in Bioengineering. Dr. Danis is a retina specialist with expertise in imaging and clinical trials and has served as Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
