Gary is a retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer and Founder of Mu Beta Phi Military Fraternity, Inc. (ΜΒΦ) also known as the "Mighty Beta Kings," an international military fraternity that caters to all 50 states and overseas in Southeast Asia and Europe. 

The motivation to serve, support and defend men and women in the local and veteran communities amplified the passion to give back and provide an outlet for men of the Armed Services to continue service within their local communities. 

The organization has several national programs that help address veteran homelessness, youth mentorship, and veteran advocacy. It has more than 400 members worldwide and won the 2021 professional fraternity association's most outstanding community service award.
