Nobody lives in a bubble. Things that other people do affect our lives … sometimes we need a #DoOver not because of what we do or the choices we make but because of what other people do to us.

Sometimes these kind of #DoOver moments leave us simply frustrated and sometimes the are life altering.

This week in worship we are going to talk about one of those life altering situations by looking at the story of a woman named Bathsheba. Yes, this is the Bathsheba of King David and Bathsheba and yes it is a messy story, a story characterized by abuse of power, deceit, death, grief and multiple situations calling for a #DoOver.

In fact, this story is so messy it is hard to see anything other than the mess. But if we look again then we see something else, we discover what God is up to IN the mess. We’ll see how God breaks into Bathsheba’s story, our stories and what any of this has to do with one of our favorite Foundry hashtags #jesusisbigenough
