Photographers on Brand

Four key decisions for your personal branding foundation

Listen Later

In the 1984 classic, The Karate Kid (yes, I just said that), Mr. Miyagi begins his karate lessons by making Daniel wash all his cars with the wax on, wax off method.

Danny is annoyed that he thinks Mr. Miyagi is using him for cheap labor until he realizes that Wax on (large clockwise circles with his right hand) and wax off (large counter-clockwise circles with his left hand) are actually defense drills that he bakes into his muscle memory.

The point? Sometimes the foundational exercises are boring. Sometimes even tedious. But they are necessary for you to master your craft or even to create your personal brand.

Finding the authentic you

I’d suggest you start with some inventory questions then make the four key decisions.
