Homily from the 4th Sunday of Easter. Fear is a major reason people refuse to follow Jesus more closely. It's crippling effects keep us from giving everything to Jesus, from telling others about Jesus, and even from asking Jesus if he is calling us to a celibate vocation. Yet we're made to follow him without fear and with deep trust in the Shepherd's providential care.
