Framework Films are celebrating 21 years of filmmaking and documenting the stories of various communities in Cork. In Established by two film-makers, Eddie Noonan and Emma Bowell in 1999, Frameworks Films provides access to the art of film-making, to communities who wanted to tell their story. Over the past twenty-one years, Frameworks Films have worked with a variety of Cork groups and organisations, people with disabilities, young people, older people, migrant communities, Traveller organisations, LGBT+ communities and other minority groups, as well as communities in almost every part of Cork city. The company is now moving on to a new chapter with the establishment of Cork Community Media Hub, an amalgamation of the work previously done by Frameworks Films and Cork Community TV, which will include production, training, broadcasting and archiving. “We now have a treasure trove of films that really reflect the cultural, social and political life of Cork over the past twenty to thirty years” says Eddie Noonan, who has been documenting life in Cork with his camera since the late eighties “and our hope is to be able to properly archive all this content so that future generations can access it.” Visit; https://frameworksfilms.com/ http://www.corkcommunitytv.ie/
