Fran is the confessional indie rock project fronted by Maria Jacobson. Jacobson's goal in writing these imagery-rich tunes is to "tell the truth". She aims to speak about emotion with such authentic language so as to capture its raw essence: "to say it or sing it in a way that says exactly what it is".
