This ensemble cast of veteran actors combines to enliven and elucidate Shelleys multilayered narrative. Donald White portrays Victor Frankenstein, consumed by hatred of his scientific monstrosity, but increasingly downtrodden from unspeakable tragedy of his own making. Jim Roberts relates the equally harrowing plight of Victor's monster, abandoned by humankind, fueled by self-loathing and vengeance as he relentlessly pursues Victor to the ends of the Earth. Cindy Hardin chimes in as Elizabeth Lavenza, Victors wholesome and virtuous fiancée. Enacting their characters respective sagas, the performers take turns in the spotlight, combining throughout to deliver colorful dialogue sequences.

Made for a better movie...

One of my favorite movies of all time, I've always wanted to read the book and after listening to the book, I still need to read it because the audio version was terrible. A great story and by far the best version of Frankenstein ever made but unfortunately, the greatness of it, just did not translate well for audio.
