With a few drinks in me and maybe a bit tipsy, I go over what I have been trying to do for the past week. A very non professional personal inventory of myself. With this impending major move to another country and with some recent slights and hurts I’ve encountered, I thought it might be healthy to check in with me. Now, I’m not a therapist, but one of the things I’ve learned in therapy is it can be beneficial to take the time to recognize, acknowledge and process present feelings and past experiences. I think what ideally happens is you begin to uncover, understand, and assess the story we tell ourselves about ourselves and the version of ourselves we present to others.
