Franz Kafka seems to have had some problems. The Metamorphosis has been read in many English Literature classes in high schools all across the USA. Or at the very least assigned and skimmed. There is rich meaning within the pages, and maybe a cry for help with a bad start and an even worse ending, a truly tragic turn of events that was so reflective of Kafka’s own life and feelings on the world.
