He dropped his first album, Freddie Foxxx Is Here, on MCA in 1989 and quickly earned respect through appearances with Kool G. Rap & DJ Polo, Boogie Down Productions, and Naughty by Nature. His next album, Crazy Like a Foxxx, was shelved by Epic after promo leaks but finally surfaced in 2008. Frustrated with major labels, Foxxx reinvented himself as Bumpy Knuckles, launched his own Kjac label, and returned swinging with 2000’s Industry Shakedown, featuring production from DJ Premier, The Alchemist, Diamond D., and Pete Rock.
