100% no cost to camp on Deer Island across from Biloxi on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast.  This island has forests and various terrain.  It is located a five minute canoe ride from Biloxi Beach yet it seems far away.  There are no facilities on the island.  You need to bring in what you need.

There are no permits required and no cost to camp on the beach.  You are permitted to have a camp fire near the beach.  This is a primitive island even though all of the conveniences of life are just a few minutes away. 

There are dozens of varieties of fish available and you can watch many species of birds some of which are endangered.  Hike in the forest and walk along the beach.  See dolphins and possibly deer.
