Scripture: Romans 7:1-25

Paul’s whole argument beginning in chapter 6 is that we should consider ourselves dead and released from the law and the power of sin. Now in chapter 7 we see more fully the futility of life under the law and how powerless we were to obey God. Who will rescue us from this life of futility? Jesus Christ, through His death and resurrection has set us free to live in a new way, not by the written code but by the Spirit!
