The other day, we went for a hike with some friends. I soon lost sight of my eldest child. They shared a story with me about their experience up and over the hill, jumping trustfully at the beckoning of another, working together with a friend to achieve great feats. The story they shared that evening when we returned, encouraged me in my act as an unschooling mother: If we give our children the space to experience this environment with little constraints and direct observation, they will learn sooo much.
