Florida just passed a bill making, among other things, it a crime for a teacher, counselor, or any school official to keep anything said to them by a child a secret from their parents.  Unsurprisingly, the LBGTQ+ community, and most of the transgender community is exploding in outrage.

Who is right?  Are children protected by confidentiality like an adult?  Or, given the horrific suicide rates among trans-girls in particular of nearly 50%, is privacy something that must be subverted to the rights of a parent to protect their child?   Serious stuff and a serious discussion.
