Attracting foreign volunteers to Ukraine is about more than just offering the best gear and training. It also means preparing them to live every day in a new country.

The country’s Foreign Recruitment Center, a new structure recently launched by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, is focused on the full integration of the new soldiers, and as such has published “Ukraine Quick Guide.” While meant for foreigners who have enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is also a handy booklet for those looking to learn some Ukrainian culture, history, and language.
