Mohalle Ki Baatein is a show which brings day-to-day stories from the community with an aim to keep the community members updated. This includes motivational stories, new opportunities etc. Episode producer Nandini is a class 12th pass out who lives at Tajpur Pahari in Badarpur. She is writes poems and likes to engage people with her stories. 

Episode 4: Usha Ki Kahaani

" I was 21 years old, when I first stepped out to look for job. Society questioned me with doubt because I was young."  

Producer Nandini interviews Usha, women residing in Tajpur Pahari on her journey of standing up on her foot.  Nandini wants to send out motivation and asks people to trust themselves. 

Mohalle Ki Baatein is one of 6 shows produced as part of the Free/Dem Community Podcasts, the online avatar of the Free/dem WhatsApp Radio run by women and girls from urban margins of Delhi.   The shows are built around ideas of gender equity, love, freedom of expression, human rights and justice. Through the podcasts community members discuss and share their lived realities.
