1. Investigate the beginning: When did this issue start in my life? How old was I? What else was happening in my life, my family, my situation, living circumstances? Was there a period of prolonged or acute stress?
2. Track it: Keep a journal of your symptoms, intensity, duration, etc of flareups or attacks when your ailment is especially acting up. Start to notice any patterns.
3. How is this condition benefitting me? - I know, this may be like what?, but I suggest you lean in. Do I get special treatment with this ailment? How am I different inside of an attack? - More examples from my story in the video. This question can break open your perception of the condition and uncover some aspects that you hadn't previously known. And then you get to choose how to respond.
