I have to be honest. This is a very special episode of The Forever Game. The subject matter is by far the heaviest kind of stuff we’ve talked about on the podcast thus far. Tyler and I were joined by Scott Abrams, a local doctor that you may very well know - but you may not know his full story. Or, the fact that he just recently published his own book on drug addiction called Freedom in the Fight.

 I found this book on the shelves of a local bookstore, read a few pages and thought - DAMN, I want to interview this guy.

So, in our chat with Scott we talk about what in the world it’s like to be battling a drug addition for 15 years, how he turned his life around and how he approaches his recovery journey every single day. There are a ton of parallels to be found in Scott’s addition story that very well might hit home for you on some scale. It’s not opioid addiction for all of us, but we all have struggles we’re working to overcome.
