Freedom of thought, most literally, is the concept that people can have their

own independent thoughts, ideas, and opinions separate from someone

else’s. Politically, freedom of thought falls along other freedoms, such as

freedom of religion. Nobody can effectively be persecuted for their thoughts

because there is currently no way to read a person’s mind. Learn more with
