The closing section of 1 Corinthians 10 is Paul's practical conclusion to the discussion that began in chapter 8 about meat offered to idols. Having already dealt with eating in pagan temples, he now considers two related questions: may a Christian buy meat in the marketplace and eat it at home, and may one accept an invitation to a meal in an unbeliever's house where such meat might be served?
