Throughout scripture, trees are mentioned more than any living thing other than humans or God. This week we have been reading, reflecting, and praying about how God uses trees from Genesis through Revelation as an image of creation, promises, prophecy, redemption, freedom, and flourishing. Today, we will consider how Jesus compares the kingdom of God to a mustard seed, and how the Tree of Life will give abundant fruit in the future kingdom of God, granting us full freedom with God for all eternity.
