Gentlemen,

I’ve seen men pull up to cookouts and other events and not even look at their woman to help her getting out of the car.

I’ve seen men walk around the room “shaking hands and kissing babies” but never introduce their woman to the folks she doesn’t know.

I’ve seen men so glued to the conversations they are having, the TV they are watching, or couch they are sitting on that their women have to go fix their own food.

I’ve seen men look at their woman once she sits back down and DARE to ask the question “Why didn’t you fix me any food?”

I’ve been THIS man. Sometimes I am still THIS man, BUT that is not our role brothers.

It’s time that we look to SERVE rather than BE SERVED. It’s time that we look to take care of those in our care FIRST. It’s time that we fix our plates LAST, and show those in our care LOVE.
