A member of the French government is demanding the United States return the Statue of Liberty because our country does not represent the "values" of Lady Liberty. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt offered a brilliant retort: She said without the United states they would be speaking German right now. 

America is more than happy to welcome the world's tired and poor - the huddled masses yearning to breathe free.  But we draw the line at South American gang bangers and Islamic Radicals who want to blow us all to kingdom come. 

But fair warning to the French — if the Germans decide to invade — don’t call us to pull your duck fat out of the fire.
