Composer, bassist, songwriter, from the Abenaki First Nation at Odanak, Obomsawin merges indie rock, American roots and jazz traditions. In their interweaving of free jazz and traditional music, their music inherits and expands a historical musical dialogue with the realities and resistance to colonization and genocide.
