Second Sundays poets
  ... hosts Josiah Luis Alderete, a full blooded Pocho Spanglish-speaking poet from La Area Bahia who learned to write poetry in the kitchen of his Mama's Mexican restaurant. First performing his poetry in San Francisco's Mission District at the infamous Cafe Babar, he was one of the founding members of San Francisco's outspoken word troupe, The Molotov Mouths. A fellow radio insurgente, he also hosts/curates the monthly Latinx reading series 'Speaking Axolotl' at Nomadic Press, Oakland. Josiah's first book of poems, 'Baby Axolotls y Old Pochos', is just out from Black Freighter Press. 
         Tune in for a reading , conversation and some of the poet's old punk favorites, music in solidarity with Colombia, and a few rad new tracks from Muzi (South Africa), Bomba Estéreo (Colombia), Krak In Dub/La Perla (France/Colombia), Lucas Santtana (Brazil),  songs for moms and more against all borders.
