Good morning, Fresno! This is your friendly neighborhood weather forecast for a picture-perfect early March week.

Let's break down what Mother Nature has in store for us. Tonight, we're looking at a mostly clear sky with temperatures dipping down to a crisp 40 degrees. Perfect for snuggling up with a warm blanket.

Friday brings us wall-to-wall sunshine with temperatures climbing to near 60 degrees. A gentle north northwest breeze will make its appearance in the afternoon, just adding a little character to our beautiful day.

The weekend is shaping up to be absolutely gorgeous. Saturday will be another sunny delight, with temperatures reaching a pleasant 66 degrees. Sunday even better with temperatures soaring to 73 degrees perfect for outdoor activities.

But hold onto your hats, because things are about to get interesting early next week. We've got a chance of rain rolling in on Monday afternoon about a 20 percent chance and then increasing to a 40 percent chance Monday night. By Wednesday, we're looking at a full-on rain event with precipitation amounts between a quarter and three-quarters of an inch.

Temperatures will gradually cool down during this rainy period, dropping from the comfortable 60s to the mid-50s. Winds will pick up slightly, with gusts potentially reaching 20 miles per hour.

For those planning outdoor activities, Friday through Sunday look absolutely stellar. Early next week, you might want to have a light jacket and umbrella handy.
