Today, our Scripture is Ephesians 3:14-21 … I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. (NLT) This was Paul’s actual prayer for the spiritual growth of the believers at Ephesus. Such a beautiful and poetic request to God on their behalf. There are so many great aspects of the Gospel included here.

I’m going to read this passage again but I want to adapt the words to first person as a personal prayer for God’s blessing of growth in your life.

Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. (NLT) I want to encourage you to find this passage and pray it the way I just did. Or listen to this over again several times. Pray this prayer over your life, your heart, your mind, and your spirit, that God would grow you exactly the way He desires and you will become all He designed you to be.

Let’s pray together: “Heavenly Father, I pray Paul’s prayer in Ephesians over my life. May this become just as true in me as it did the early church. I want to be made complete with all Your fullness and power in Christ. As above, so below.”
