We should be careful about giving our trading competitors a significant trading advantage by puttting extra pressure on what little manufacturing we have left. The labour Whitlam government effectively destroyed Australian manufacturing when it signed us up to the Lima declaration of 1972, a government that was supposed to be FOR the Australian workers. Liberals need a significant re-set or they will remain in the wilderness with little prospect of re-election.
