Friday Taps: Get Clear About What to do Next

Welcome to our Friday Taps!

Use this tapping script as often as you need until you really feel the energy shift and unlock! Your body will tell you.

You will feel somatic signals like burping, yawning, sudden new perspectives opening up, etc. Either way, trust yourself. Believe in yourself.

This script will help you create somatic safety around this creative vision you have. While tapping on your own, make sure to be as specific as you can.

If you notice specific memories or ideas surfacing that hold a heavy emotional charge, pause this and tap on those while they’re active, then return to the script. You don’t need a script for these, you can simply “vent” about what came up while tapping through the points.

How to Prepare

* Bring to mind your biggest discomfort related to the topic.

* Rate your anxiety about it on a 0–10 scale, with 0 being totally calm and 10 being “this keeps me up at night.”

* Stay present with your body as we tap. Notice any sensations, shifts, or emotions.

Housekeeping:

* Hydrate before and/or after the session

* Somatic responses are great signs—burping, yawning, crying, shaking—all normal

The EFT Script:

Just tap where I tap, stay present, and repeat after me. I want you to as you say these statements, notice yourself. Notice your body.

Setup Statement (karate chop)

Even though I’m really unsure about what steps to takeTo bring my vision to lifeTo make it tangibleAnd I just don’t know what to doAnd all the stuff I’ve done, according to the expertsJust hasn’t worked for meAnd I feel really anxious about thisBecause this thing matters to meI’m worried I’m just not capable of doing thisEven though I feel that wayI deeply and completelyLove and accept myselfEven though I’m afraid this just isn’t gonna work outThat I’ll never feel that inspired rushThat pulse of creative energyThat clarity that tells me exactly what to do nextI deeply and completely love and accept myself

Round 1

* I see so many creatives

* Just doing the damn thing

* Creating their art or their content or their books

* And I’m just over here, wondering

* When will my inspiration arrive?

* When will I finally know what to do?

* If I’m being honest

* I don’t really trust myself to figure it out

* And I struggle to believe that this is possible for me

* I’ve never done anything like this before

* But I feel so called to it

* I see this vision in my head

* And it feels good for a second until it doesn’t

Round 2

* I end up feeling doubtful and like I’m behind

* And maybe I’ve been telling myself I’m kidding myself

* Because that’s the easy thing to believe

* But this fear isn’t helping me move the needle

* I just keep looping in this doubt and anxiety

* When really I just want to be creating

* And maybe it makes sense that I’ve been afraid

* Because this version of me is unfamiliar

* And my nervous system doesn’t like unfamiliar

* So maybe it’s not that I don’t have ideas or inspiration

* Maybe it’s just hidden behind this resistance

* And maybe this resistance is just trying to protect me

* Because this is asking me to stretch into more of myself

Round 3

* And being more of myself has felt a little scary

* But maybe my next step isn’t to figure everything out

* Maybe it’s just to feel safe

* Safe with the idea, safe in my body, safe to create

* And I can do that a little more every day

* I can honor the fear I’m feeling

* And start making safety feel normal

* Because maybe I already have the answers within me

* Maybe there’s no one clear path, just my path

* And the fact that I feel this vision pulling me

* Means I have it in me to bring it to life

* So I’m willing to meet myself with more compassion

* And see what I’m made of

Take a slow, deep breath in and let it all go. Just notice how you’re feeling. Celebrate any noticeable ease you feel now. If you’re super relaxed, that’s a damn good sign you’ve moved some energy.

Notice where you are on that intensity rating now, too? Did we move it a bit closer to that 0 mark? Be patient with yourself wherever you are. If you felt things moving but needed more time with this session, repeat it with the replay once it’s up today.
