We are easing into the weekend with one of South Africa’s prolific jazz musician, who cut his musical teeth within the jazz industry in Nyanga East Township, Cape Town, South Africa, where he was born and raised. He later moved to Johannesburg in 1995 Herbie where he developed a reputation as one of the most accomplished and in-demand electric and acoustic bass players in the country. This week saw him reissue his first album, African Time under his own label and will be part of this year’s edition of Jazz in the Lights music festival on 30 March (Saturday).
