Currently Advocate Tlakula is the chairperson of South Africa's Information Regulator, a body that is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance and handling complaints related to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI). Advocate Tlakula has also occupied leadership positions in independent constitutional bodies nationally and on the African continent.
