Hannah Davey and Tyler Hartman are here to talk about music! Tyler is a dad rock (formerly punk) musician with industry knowledge and music production experience, Hannah Davey is a media enthusiast, writer, and podcast producer with opinions.

Tyler and his friend Derrick reminisce about their experiences playing various venues in Minneapolis, like the Red Raven, where it was a struggle to get an audience but a great space with great potential. Hannah Davey and Tyler interview Derrick about his process of making music, which is lyrics-heavy work compared to Tyler’s song-first-then-lyrics process. We get into what got all of us into hip hop music, too, and we have a whole list of albums to check out if you like nu metal (thanks, Derrick and Tyler) and esoteric indie rap.
