On this episode we discuss the TV sitcom, Friends. What makes this sitcom still so popular and how did it embed itself into popular culture history? Having completed its original run 18 years ago, is Friends still as popular today and what exactly sets this show apart? In the first part of two episodes, we delve into the sitcom landscape of the 1990's examining the appeal of sitcoms and why Friends spoke to a whole new generation and why it continues to do so. Part Two will break down the shows popularity and delve into how so many years later, the Friends frenzy may finally be over, thanks to the many problematic issues the show either got wrong or failed to tackle entirely.
