Friendship

Listen Later

As people made in the image of God, we have been designed for relationality.  In fact, we are wired for it.  In light of a culture that tends to hold autonomy and independence as virtues to be celebrated, we were not made to keep relationships at an arms-length distance.  In fact, relationships worth lasting get scary-close.  This Sunday, we will be discovering how our friendship with God enables us to have purpose filled friendships.  Jesus has called us His friends, but what does that really mean?  How might this central friendship steer the way we invest in friendships?  Join us this Sunday as we observe the way the Gospel transforms friendship.

  4. Have you ever been tempted to underestimate the God-ordained impact friendships have on us?  Does this change how intentional you are in seeking out purpose-filled friendships?
  5. What do you think are some practical action steps toward becoming more intentional with your non-Christian friends? If you do not have non-Christian friends, what are some ways friendship could become ‘missional’ for you?
