• "Whoever has my commands and always obeys them loves me"

• There is a deeper relationship in the Christian life beyond just accepting the free gift of salvation

• Spiritual maturity is when what you want and what you need are the same things

• If you want to hear from God, be a student of his Word

• Obedience and submission are Jesus's love language to us, because he knows what is best for us

• Let yourself be changed by the Word of God, as he will show you more of himself

• Obedience to God increases friendship with him
