Friendship With God | Pastor Alex Pappas

We were created for relationship, and God Himself invites us into the deepest one of all: friendship with Him. From the garden with Adam and Eve to Abraham, Moses, and the disciples, Scripture shows that God longs to walk with His people in closeness, trust, and shared heart.

Friendship with God is not automatic. It is intentional, relational, and marked by love, obedience, and agreement with His ways. As we pursue Him, align our lives with His Word, and seek His presence above everything else, He draws us into deeper intimacy and begins to reveal His heart. This is where transformation happens. This is where we hear His voice. This is where true friendship begins.

We weren’t made to simply serve God from a distance. We were made to walk with Him.
