Fritz Schmid has named what can definitely be called a 'young side' for the Intercontinental Cup.
Explaining his choices, Schmid told D'Arcy and Goran that contract windows meant that New Zealand players are not available to participate.
"We are looking at the tournament and a playing opportunity which is not a FIFA window," he explained.
He also says the injuries have limited some of their options, as well as family planning for certain players.
