Editorial Reviews:
French writer Jean Froissart was one of the earliest war correspondents. In this audiobook, he details the Hundred Years' War between the French and the English in three hours. His work has proven pivotal to our modern understanding of this 14th-century bloody rivalry. John Horton's performance is quite Shakespearean. His deep alto voice captures the ambitious tone of this fierce battle history while his expert pacing brings the listener right into the heat of the moment. History enthusiasts will certainly enjoy this short but important audiobook.

Detailed Battle History
Fascinating detail of battles. Most memorable is the way combatants were provisioned and the number of fatalities in short periods of time using medieval weapons in close combat.
