Brenda was abused by a family member at a young age. Despite reporting it, the situation was not handled properly, leaving her feeling abandoned and invisible. As she grew older, the pressures of life and years of smoking marijuana took their toll, eventually leading to her admission to a psychiatric hospital for several weeks. However, Jesus found her and transformed her life. She went on to advocate for those in psychiatric centres who have no one to stand up for them. Remarkably, she also ended up caring for her abuser.
