Today on the Light It Up Podcast, I have the priveledge to document my mom (Patricia Taylor)'s story. Her story takes on a new approach unlike any we've heard on this show. While it has its share of drinking, smoking, and partying, her life was surrounded by violence. As she grew up, resentment toward her mother deepened, while her bond with her father became stronger. Because her mom would physically and verbally abuse her constantly, she felt as if she never did enough for her mom, and growing with this insecurity and self-hatred, she learned to lean on the love of her father. Once her father died, however, she could only turn to the one true Father that was always there. Get ready y'all, cause this episode gets emotional, and there were definitely tears—tune in to hear her full story.🔔 Subscribe to stay updated on future episodes!👍 Like, share, and comment to spread the love! Our links (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, etc.): https://bio.site/liupodcastNew Believer? A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” - Matthew 5:14-16
