Bitterness has a way of making us feel as though life will never get better. However, when Naomi, in the bible experienced her bitterness by wanting to be called Mara, which means bitter.  Naomi, was able to overcome her bitterness and become better, because she was connected and reminded of her redeemer being God and how faithful he is to his people.
