As a STEM teacher for 11 years, Ben was able to work with a dynamic team of peers to craft and scale an unique approach to student-centered learning that blurs the lines between what happens in school and what happens in the real world. Ben’s role as a nationally recognized teacher leader also gave him the opportunity to work with some of the best education and workforce thought leaders in the world. These experiences were the catalyst behind the book he co-authored,“Open Up, Education!" and the 501(c)3 nonprofit he founded to help other school stakeholders create similar cultural conditions of innovation - innovation that helps equip students with skills they will need to thrive in the 4th industrial revolution, not just the 1st.
