Though He knows He will raise Lazarus, He still weeps—showing that God is not distant from our suffering but enters into it. This miracle points beyond physical resurrection to the deeper reality of spiritual resurrection: sin binds and kills the soul, but Christ calls us out of the tomb and desires to set us free. Through confession and the life of grace, He continues to restore what is broken and lead us from death into true life.
