Verbal Warning

From Goblins to Blackout: The Friday That Died

Listen Later

This week on Verbal Warning… things get weird, colourful, and slightly cursed.

We kick things off with what might be one of the most unexpected purchases in podcast history — The Rainbow Goblins book. What started as a joke quickly turns into a full-blown reading session, as we dive headfirst into the strange, trippy world of goblins, gold, and chaos. Safe to say… this isn’t your average bedtime story.

But that’s just the beginning.

Friday was supposed to be a massive episode — a “preserve the peace” special featuring our mate Tristan. And look… it did happen… just not in the way anyone planned. Let’s just say things got a little too loose, a little too early, and the whole operation was shut down before it even had a chance to get off the ground. What actually went down? You’ll have to tune in — we’ve dropped some clips from the night, and they tell a story of their own.

We also give our honest thoughts on Solo Lime — and yeah… it’s under the microscope. Is it still elite? Or has it lost its touch? We break it down properly.

From there, we drift into music chat — the kind that only makes sense on this podcast. From the dark, gritty sounds of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds to the smooth, almost surreal vibes of Masayoshi Takanaka, we somehow connect it all back to goblins, chaos, and whatever this podcast has become.

And of course… we couldn’t help ourselves.

We read The Rainbow Goblins out loud for you — voices, energy, the whole thing. It’s part storytelling, part fever dream, and somehow still makes more sense than half the stuff we talk about.
