We’re running these programs in our subconscious mind that makes us react to things automatically. And just like a car, we have to fix the engine and keep it tuned up.As Mark started learning about behaviors, he realized that people do what they do because they’re getting certain needs met. The problem is that it’s not always healthy. We do a lot of things in life to get our needs met even though it’s not going to help us grow because our brain is always in survival mode, but we don’t understand that and we’re constantly reacting automatically. We have to break through that subconscious mind so we can live a quality life, constantly grow, and be able to contribute back. And one way to break through is by changing our story. Things happen to us and we cannot change the events, but we can decide to take control and change our story.
